<div>Hello, my name is Matthew Posner, and I am a Scout from Troop 2021 in Suffern, NY. I am a Life Scout currently working toward my Eagle Rank. For my Eagle Project, we are creating a reimagined 9/11 memorial to be located at The Ramapo Town Hall, for the residents of the Town of Ramapo, in honor of the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Every year, the Town of Ramapo hosts a 9/11 memorial service, and we are providing them with a new memorial to honor those lost on that tragic day.

<div>The design is modelled after the Tallahassee 9/11 memorial. We are honoring both the Twin Towers and the Pentagon building that were attacked on that tragic day. The base of the structure will be a reinforced concrete slab in the shape of the Pentagon. The base will support two towers representing the Twin Towers. Spanning across the two towers will be a steel I-beam recovered from the South Tower that was given to the Town of Ramapo by the Port Authority of NY/NJ. The Beam will be pointed towards the location of where the towers once stood. We will also be mounting a 2' x 2' stone engraved with the names of those lost in the towers that day, and will also house a wreath holder. My goal is to raise $1,500-$2,000 to cover the costs of the materials, plaques, and resources for the volunteers.
