<div>My name is Salahuddin Ali, and I'm the co-founder of Masjid Sunnah in Grand Rapids, Michigan. For over a decade, our community has been working to transform a building at 2312 S. Division Ave into a fully functioning mosque — a place of worship, peace, and community for Muslims in Grand Rapids.

<div>We incorporated Masjid Sunnah in 2014, purchased the property, and have been renovating it step by step ever since — largely through small donations and volunteer labor. We've made incredible progress. The structure is sound, the rough-in plumbing is done, and we just completed our first-floor lighting installation.

<div>Now we're in the final stretch, and we need your help to cross the finish line.

<div>Our first-floor bathroom renovation is the last major phase before we can open our doors. This isn't just about sinks and pipes — Islamic worship requires a specific ritual cleansing called wudu (ablution) before every prayer. Our bathrooms need to include specialized ablution fixtures called WuduMates, ADA-compliant installations, a drinking fountain, and all of the permitting and inspections required to meet commercial building codes and Michigan's barrier-free accessibility standards.
