<div>I know many of you have been praying for our mom! For those that don’t know, our mom, <strong>Mary Jo</strong>, has been on the Kidney/Pancreas transplant list for many years now. She received 3 calls last year for possible matches, but none of them worked out.

<div>It has been a year since her last call, but on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 17, 2025, we got a call from IU Health University Hospital that a possible organ match was found and that we should head that way now!

<div>We got the call at 1:15 pm (Indy time), at the hospital &amp; in a room by 4:30 pm, and at 10:45 pm we got the news that we had all been praying and waiting for!!!! The organs were a good match and viable, and she was headed to the OR!

<div>Although we are so excited (and nervous) for this surgery, we can’t help but also think about the family that lost their loved one. Organ donation is truly an act of compassion and generosity… a selfless act. Our hearts break for the donor's family!! Although we may never know who her donor was, both the donor and their family will always remain close to our hearts! We pray that God wraps His arms around that family, bringing them comfort in their time of grief! We will forever be thankful for the love and life of her donor and for this gift that their family has shared with ours!

<div>We are so thankful for all of the thoughts and prayers and ask that everyone continue to pray for her recovery! We know that this journey is going to be a long and expensive one with lots of trips to Indianapolis for follow-ups! If you feel led to donate to help with travel and other expenses, <strong>our family (especially mom) would be forever grateful!</strong> We love all of you and continue to thank God for His perfect timing! God is so good!!!
