<div>We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts to support the family Maria Eugenia Duran Ramirez, known to friends as Maru, a cherished member of our Winters community for over 20 years. After a brave and difficult battle with cancer, Maru has left us, leaving behind her only son, Alexis, who is still in high school.

<div>In Alexis’s own words: “My mom was the best I could ask for. She worked day and night just to raise me by herself. It hurt me terribly seeing her slowly pass to cancer, and it would be amazing if people could help donate to cover the cost of her funeral expenses.”

<div>Maru was known for her kindness, resilience, and dedication to her family. She gave everything she had to provide a loving and stable home for her son, raising him alone with strength and grace. Now, in this difficult time, we want to ensure that her family is supported as they say goodbye.
