<div>Hello, my name is <strong>Marshall Earl Jones</strong>. I am a<strong> Dallas Texas native.</strong> I am a <strong>69-year-old Vietnam Era Veteran.</strong> I volunteered to serve in the<strong> Vietnam Conference</strong> after graduating from high school in August 1973; and I enlisted in the <strong>United States Army at the age of 17 </strong>in February 1974. My tour ended five years after the war officially ended in March 1975. I was honorably discharged December, 1980 with the rank of Specialist-5/E-5.

<div><strong>I am humbly and desperately asking for your support as a result of having two major heart attacks</strong>, known in the medical profession as<strong> 'The Widow Maker'.</strong> Last year,<strong> I suffered the first major heart attack in May 5, 2023. I flatlined in the ER for 45 minutes with 100% blood flow blockage.</strong> An emergency procedure was performed to unblock the major arteries in the upper and lower chambers of my heart by inserting <strong>stents</strong>. However, for whatever reason the doctors inserted the wrong size of stents. They were too small to function properly.<strong> As a result, over the next 16 months, a massive blood clot formed in the lower chamber of my heart,</strong> thereby causing<strong> the upper chamber stent to be completely blocked with no blood flow. </strong>

<div>All the while, <strong>I was dying a slow quiet death</strong> which were punctuated with <strong>several mini-heart attacks, blackouts/fainting spells and passing out at work and at church</strong>. I have been rushed by <strong>EMTs</strong> to the<strong> ER</strong> <strong>severally</strong> for <strong>emergency care and diagnosis</strong>. But none of the<strong> ER visits detected the clot in the lower chamber of my heart</strong>. Invariably, the diagnosis was always deemed incorrectly as <strong>dehydration</strong> and/or <strong>side-effect of any one of the multiple medications that I am taking.</strong>

<div>However, <strong>the second major heart attack</strong> occurred at the<strong> New York City’s JFK Airport lobby </strong>during a layover flight to Dallas on my way back from a short vacation in Jamaica. While waiting for my connecting flight, I passed out and <strong>was resuscitated by my wife and a handful of Good-Samaritans </strong>in the lobby. <strong>The EMT arrived and rushed me to the nearest hospital, Jamaica Hospital in New York City for immediate ER Care.</strong> Five days later they transferred me to the best <strong>Cardiology Surgical Unit at the Lennox Hill Northwell Health hospital in Manhattan</strong>. It was there that the doctors determined that<strong> the wrong size of stents</strong> were put in during my first heart attack.

<div><strong>They corrected the error by putting the right size of stents and cleaned out the blood clot partially.</strong> So, they put me on blood thinner medications that will gradually break-off the rest of the blood clot. But the recovery time has been projected as <strong>long-term</strong>, and thus far it has been<strong> super grueling, very slow paced and under extensive VA cardiology doctors and team care. </strong>

<div><strong>Unfortunately, I lost my job with Amazon </strong>this summer, and as a direct result<strong> my mortgage; hospital, medical along with reoccurring miscellaneous bills have piled up and overwhelmed </strong>my wife, 12-year-old son and myself<strong>.</strong> Therefore, my fellow <strong>countrymen</strong>; <strong>friends</strong> and <strong>family</strong>, <strong>with all humility</strong>,<strong> I am asking and appeal to you for your recurring or one-time generous support to help us to overcome these 'Mounting' medical bills and monthly expenses.</strong> I pray that God will touch your loving hearts to help out my family and I in a time such as this in my life.
