Dear family, friends, and community,

Our dear friend Marlex was recently diagnosed with CHORDOMA, a rare bone tumor that formed at the base of his skull and spine. After months of persistent back pains, weakness, and countless pain relievers and ointments, Marlex finally got his answers—but the road ahead will be long, uncertain, and incredibly challenging for him and his family. Due to the location of the tumor, complete removal is not possible at this time, so he will undergo daily high doses of radiation therapy for a month to try to remove or shrink the tumor. For now, a tube is placed in the back of his neck to stabilize his neck and spine.

With these treatments, along with mounting medical bills from the hospital, recovery support, and loss of income, we are humbly raising funds to help him and to support his immediate family since Marlex is the primary provider for his wife and two adorable minor daughters.
