<div>On October 1st Mark had a follow up with his surgeon to look at his incision sites—they are looking great and almost healed.
</div>

<div>Mark was hoping he was going to be able to start standing and walkinge, but the surgeon would like Mark remain non-weight bearing for a minimum of 4 weeks, with a follow up appointment on October 29th to asses his progress and healing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mark has been working on keeping his upper body strength up and some strengthen exercises for his legs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many of you have been asking how you can help, keep those messages and calls coming, he really appreciates them all. If you are in the area come on by! As we continue to navigate his healing process, we have also set up a go fund me account to help with travel expenses, rooming accommodations, medical bills, and other needs that might arise during his process.

<div>Some of you may be aware Mark suffered from an accident, while some may be hearing of this for the first time. On August 16th Mark was taken to the hospital in Eureka, CA after falling 14 feet from the scaffolding, where he was putting the finishing touches on the house after Charlottes return from her 3 month rehab stay.

<div>Mark sustained 4 broken ribs, had a concussion (and minor brain bleed) as well as fracturing his pelvis
</div>

</div>
<div>He’s has been cleared from neurological damage however has had some lasting cognitive impairments. The doctors are hopeful that his cognitive impairments will clear up, but it will take some time.
</div>

</div>
<div>He has been non-weight bearing since his initial surgery while the pins placed in his hips had time to heal. He had another surgery on September 24th to remove the “ex fix” (external fixation pins). While he is still non weight bearing he is able to do a little bit more movements- without the limitations of the ex fix.
</div>

<div>He has been in the hospital and currently in a skilled nursing home in Petaluma recovering and healing from his injuries with the support of his family and has had his children by his side.
</div>

<div>He loves phone calls and is starting to be able to operate his phone on his own again. If you are in the area scheduled visits are always welcome - and all the healing wishes, thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
</div>

<div>We are all doing our best to plan for what is next, as only time will tell - but we wanted to share with the people who mean the most to him and just let you know what’s going on in our friend Marky’s life.
