<div>Second update: 5-18, Mark continues to get stronger everyday. He has been taking walks, getting up to use the rest room and was taken off his continuous push pain meds. 
</div>
<div>I would like to get him enough money to get a new bed so he can maintain the 30 degrees he needs to sleep with. If you can, any amount would help. I know the economy is bad, and if you can not afford $5-$10, we will gladly accept your continued prayers. This will be a long recovery so keep those prayers coming. Thank you for your support.

<div>UPDATE: Mark was in surgery 10 hours. There were complications due to scar tissue and he had to receive blood. Today he is sitting up and they are having trouble controlling his pain due to his blood pressure. It is low. Please continue the prayers. Mark and Michelle have a long road ahead of them. Thank you

<div>Hi, my name is Lynn Klenow. My brother in law, Mark Williams, was diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer December 21st 2023. He has not been able to work due to undergoing chemo and radiation. We have no idea how long before he can work again. His wife, Michelle, is going to have to take time off to take care of him.

<div>He is undergoing surgery to take out his esophagus and stretch his stomach up to take its place. He is at U of M in Ann Arbor getting his surgery today, May 13th. After his surgery, he will have to sleep at a 30 degree angle for the rest his life. This means he will need an adjustable bed, which will be yet another financial struggle for them.
