Hello to everyone, this is Maria-Victoria, she lives in the Philippines. last year she lost her father to Cancer. She took over the motherly role of her 16 year old nieces that was being raised by her father. just a few months ago back in October she was full of life love and joy. Then all of a sudden she was hit with illness after illness. She started cramping in her abdominal area. After a few days of the pain and saying she is fine she went to the hospital to get checked out. They found a few small cervical cyst. They immediately started planning for surgery to have a possible hysterectomy. As days past and weeks then months passed, more problems started to occur such has high blood pressure, low iron, needs blood transfusions and no dr available at the time do to the holidays. Her condition start to worsen. The cyst grew and grew to painful size of over 10cm. You could just look at her and she the pain in her eyes from the growth. Finally in January she couldn’t take the pain any more and checked herself into the hospital. After weeks of sitting there and being monitor trying to lower the blood pressure trying to get a Dr to operate on her her condition had got out of control. She started having blackout and massive headaches. It took the medical team over 17 hours for the hysterectomy and recovery. They found out she had stage 3 ovarian cancer. During the recovery they notified us that she had a stroke and needed a ct scan. These medical professionals made every excuse possible on getting her ct scan read by a neurosurgeon to find out the mark on her brain. Come to actually find out she had a mass on her brain that caused a seizure and not a stroke. They sent her home to recover on her own while waiting on a neurosurgeon. There were days when she was doing great smiling. Talking, laughing and feeding herself. Then she had a massive seizure where we rushed her to the hospital to be evaluated. The Dr scolded her for missing here appointment just two days earlier bc she was too weak to get out of bed due to the hysterectomy and massive headache she was having. So they sent her home again and said in the next 2 weeks we will set up an appointment for you. After 3 weeks we called and the said no doctor available it’s the holidays. So we ventured off to find a neurosurgeon ourself. We found a great Dr. 45 mins away and he had us admitted the very next day. Unfortunately her iron levels where low and her blood pressure was fine but the thinners she was taken caused a 8 day waiting period. She is now in recovery from having the mass removed from her brain and other complications are setting in as well such as a failed kidney, uti and some other bacterial infections cause by the waiting period and becoming malnourished over the past 3 months. She is now in stable condition but there’s a long road ahead. Her son had to quit his job to take care of her and his 16 year old cousin the last 5 months.
If there is anything you can do to help this family out with medical expenses.
it will be much appreciated. We will even accept the power prayer for we know and come to see how healing the power of prayer can be. The hospital is waiting to stop care do to the bill becoming outrageous.
