Maria do Socorro Amaral is a dear friend I met in Cairo, Egypt, in 2015 while I was studying Dawah/Religious Studies and Arabic. During my time there, Maria welcomed me into her home, making my experience in a new country much more comfortable and familiar. Her kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on my life, and I am forever grateful for the support she offered me when I needed it most.

 Now, Maria is facing a tremendous challenge. She has been diagnosed with uterine cancer and is currently in the midst of treatment. As a widow living alone in Cairo, without any relatives nearby, Maria has been unable to work for a long time. The cost of living and her medical care has become overwhelming, and she is struggling to make ends meet while focusing on her recovery.

The funds raised will go directly toward her medical bills and living expenses, giving her the support she needs to fight cancer and manage daily life.
