Invest in Maya's Education to Impact Haiti

Support Maillard “Maya” in His Mission to Bring Greater Impact to Haiti.

I invite you to support an extraordinary individual and dear friend of mine, Maillard—“Maya.” I met Maillard five years ago during my time in Haiti. He is one of the most kind, philanthropic, and intelligent people I have had the privilege of knowing.

For over 10 years, he has dedicated his life to volunteering and coordinating countless events to support communities devastated by the 2010 earthquake. His efforts have brought medical assistance, organized teams of nurses and doctors, and provided shelter for dozens of families in need. Maillard’s commitment to his community is truly remarkable. Not only has he helped rebuild lives, but he also co-founded a nonprofit organization called Thriveansanm, whose mission is to support the education of young people and children in Haiti.

Now, Maillard is on the verge of a new chapter in his life. He has been accepted to study Community Development abroad, with the goal of returning to Haiti with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive even greater impact. However, the financial cost of this education is significant. The total for the year, including tuition, housing, and all related expenses, amounts to $24,000 USD.

This is where we can come together to show Maillard that his years of selflessness and service have not gone unnoticed. His work has touched countless lives, including mine, and now it’s our turn to help him achieve his goal so that he can continue making a difference in his home country.
