Support Maggie's Cancer Recovery

As many of you know, Maggie found a lump in her breast in June. To the shock of her and all of her doctors, the lump was cancerous, and she had to have a double mastectomy in August. Maggie has a long road ahead of her – chemo, radiation, reconstruction, and a medication that will put her into menopause for the next few years to ensure that her cancer doesn’t spread or return.
Maggie continued working during her initial diagnosis this summer, refusing to leave her production and her actors before the end of their run. Since her double mastectomy, Maggie has been unable to return to work as she heals. She is hoping to slowly begin a new production this month, but with chemo starting, her timeline for work is a question mark.
If you know Maggie, you know her to be an empathic, generous, hilarious person, as well as a brilliant stage manager. You also know that she is endearingly stubborn. Maggie has been relying on her insurance as well as all of the resources that her union and the state can provide her – but funds are running low. Not only does she face normal bills like rent and car payments, she is now facing additional costs for medications, wigs, nutrition – the list goes on.
Since June, she has refused to let us set up a donation page for her, because she didn’t want to ask for help or impose on others. Now, as her long road to recovery continues, she is finally allowing us to ask you for the same support that she so willingly provides to other people. Even if she is able to return to work soon, there are still expenses, as well as future surgery that will preclude her ability to hold a job for stretches of time. No amount is too small (or large) – to show her your support.
