As the cancer spread from her uterus to her lungs, she remained resilient despite undergoing multiple surgeries. <strong>Her husband’s detention and recent deportation has left Magdalena alone to care for her 3 children, all while battling stage 4 cancer. </strong>She is a dedicated mother and is seeking asylum in the US to ensure that her children can grow up safely after surviving horrific acts of violence in their home country of Honduras.
