<div>Madeline Grace Vernon also known as Maddie was the true definition of an angel on earth. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a fun-loving energetic child. Maddie never met a stranger and when she would give you one of those famous Maddie hugs you could truly feel the love behind it. Maddie was a very active and healthy child who loved to play soccer, volleyball for the local rec center.

<div>The evening of Saturday Jan. 25th Maddie started feeling bad and the very next morning was taken to Urgent Care, she was diagnosed with the flu. Monday night her symptoms began to worsen and was then taken to Randolph hospital where she was sent home. Tuesday morning when Maddie woke up with a 104.9 temp, her parents took her back to urgent care where she was then rushed to Moses Cone hospital. At this time Maddie was placed on ventilator to help her breathe and was later transported to Brenner's Children's Hospital where she pasted away at 4:04am Wednesday morning.

<div>We are creating this GoFundMe to help her parents financially, to help them with Maddie's younger sister and so that her mom can take the time she needs off of work to grieve the sudden loss of her child.
