Praise Report:
Look at me and know I’m here due to all the prayers I’ve received. And I can’t thank everyone enough. Keep those prayers coming as it’s still a long road to recovery. Today is a test day for me according to my surgical team. I’m finally able to eat solid foods and if I continue with my progress today, I’ll most likely be discharged tomorrow. I won’t know any further treatments before Oct 30 when I see my oncologist. Early scans indicated my cancer was only about 6.2x4.8 cm and unattached. By the time of my surgery, Dr. Johnson said it had surprisingly grown massively. It had attached itself to one rib, my diaphragm (which was a possibility to begin with), and my spleen too. He had already planned the kidney removal, gallbladder, diaphragm, and partially removing my spleen. All of those organs are gone and he had to use a burning tool on the rib to ensure no cancer was left behind. I know these are details most shouldn’t know, but I feel it was necessary to let people know when cancer is found, you can’t wait to get treatment or things like this might happen to you. Pat has been Wonder Woman through all of this and even the head surgeon praised her. There are so many people to thank for everything besides her. I’d given up, but she pushed me through my nightmare. Please pray for others and give of yourselves, never knowing who will be there for you in your darkest hours. Even on your worst days, praise the Lord.
