<div>Since sweet Lydia Grace was born she has been extremely fussy. Doctors would continuously push it off, make Rachel and Noah feel like they are just over reacting and not being heard.

<div>Over the last 2 months, Lydia has seen several specialists, attempted over 10 different formulas, had several emergency visits, and the list goes on.
</div>
<div>Fast forward to this past week, she had surgery to fix a rectal malformation that she was born with, and surgery went well.
</div>
<div>However, to this day (9/21/25) she has not passed a stool and she should have. The surgeon was very concerned and believes something else is going on that they cannot see via the multiple X-rays, CT scans and lab work they performed.
</div>
<div>X-rays concluded that the contrast dye isn’t passing through her intestines so the doctor was very concerned.
</div>
<div>Today (9-21-25), he performed an exploratory procedure in her abdomen and found the following: ”They found a band wrapped around her intestine so they ended up removing that. They also removed 40 cm of one of her intestines because it was dead and not operating as it should. The doctor is keeping an eye on three separate parts of her intestines to make sure that those are not compromised and functioning to the ability that they should. If he finds tomorrow that there are other parts of her intestine or colon that need to be removed, he will do that and reconnect her intestines to other parts of her stomach in order for her to have healthy bowel movements.

<div>9/21/25 at 5pm: ** She is currently in the NICU, in an induced coma and on a ventilator because they did not stitch her up since she will go back to the operating room tomorrow for them to reconnect everything inside her stomach”

<div>In the last few hours, Lydia received a blood transfusion due to low hemoglobin and has also experienced some complications with her tummy opening

<div> surgery went AMAZING and they did not need to remove any more of her intestines or anything from her colon! She’s resting now and we’re looking forward and believing in hope that she will be able to pass a stool and/or gas over these next few days and get off her ventilatorit’s looking like another week stay in the hospital as there are multiple moving parts before she can be discharged.
