On December 21, 2025, we bid a fond farewell to a dear friend at Georgetown VFW Post 8587, M/SGT Ben D. Snowden, fondly known as Lupita Hernandez. Lupita's vibrant spirit and unwavering compassion earned her a cherished place within the VFW family, even though she wasn't a veteran herself. Her dedication to service, her kindness, and her ability to bring people together made her a beloved member of the community. As we say goodbye, we celebrate Lupita's legacy of love, friendship, and service to others. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire us to make a difference in the lives of those around us. During this difficult time, Lupita's family is facing significant financial challenges as they work to cover mortuary and funeral expenses. Any support you can offer will help ease their burden and allow them to honor Lupita's memory in a meaningful way. Please consider donating or sharing this GoFundMe with others. Your kindness and generosity will make a lasting impact, and Lupita's family is deeply grateful for your support.
