<div>Hi, my name is Helen and I’m fundraising for my sister, Lucy who was diagnosed with bowel cancer in February this year. She then had major surgery (Anterior resection surgery) which removed the tumour and around a third of her large bowel. 3 months of Chemotherapy followed. She’s just undergoing her last round of chemotherapy at the moment.

<div>Many of you know Lucy is the co owner of Lucy’s Little Bakehouse in Halifax. Since Lucy was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer, she has been unable to work &amp; her wage has covered staff that have stepped in for Lucy.

<div>As you can imagine, this news has been devastating for our family. Lucy is not only a wonderful sister but also a loving wife and a devoted mother to 3 beautiful children. Right now, she is facing the toughest battle of her life, undergoing intensive treatment to fight this disease.

<div>Unfortunately, as she begins the journey of recovery the financial strain on her family is growing. With Lucy unable to work during treatment and Pete juggling caregiving and limited work hours, they’re struggling to keep up with everyday expenses, including rent for family home.
