<div>Hello, I am Lilian and my husband Jorgy  . Today, we ask for your help. three weeks ago, my daughter Lucianna began to have some symptoms of pain in her feet and legs. At first, we thought it was some normal injury caused by sports or else. we took her to the pediatrician and he told us that it could be something muscular so we continued our normal routine. as the days went by, we realized that Lucianna was losing sensitivity in her left foot as well as in her leg, she felt an enormous weight so it was preventing her from walking, then the headaches started. She missed two weeks of school due to the pain she was having. Around those days, we started to notice one of her legs wasn't able to hold her weight. She wasn't able to walk anymore, so he took the to the hospital right away. At the hospital, the doctors proceeded to take do blood tests, MRI's to the BRAIN, SPINE, LUMBAR, CERVICAL AND THORACIC areas and , these tests diagnosed that Lucianna has an infection in the brain and spine, so they kept her hospitalized since Thursday, November 7th. The neurologist sent her for many more tests, since they don't have a 100% sure diagnosis, the one that comes closest to the symptoms is acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, but they have really given us many names of diseases that have us heart broken.

<div>Since Lucianna was admitted to the hospital she has had some very difficult nights, of pain, frustration, fear, this has been very hard for us since we never imagined being in this position and seeing our daughter suffer in this way, now we must wait two more weeks for the most important results to arrive, but in the meantime the neurologist began to give her medication for her muscles, since at times she has suffered from cramps and numbness in her legs, they are also giving her steroids in very high doses to reduce the inflammation she has in her brain and spine, stomach medications, and doses to reduce stress since she has had episodes of anxiety.

<div>At this time, we must wait a few more days to see how she evolves with this first treatment.

<div>Due to this situation my husband and I have not been able to go to work 100%, our girl does not have medical insurance so we must assume some expenses, any contribution, however small, will be of great help to us, we thank you with all our hearts.

<div>Hola , soy Lilian soto y mi esposo Jorge Mario Roncancio , hoy recurrimos a esta ayuda , ya que hace tres semanas mi hija Lucianna comenzó a tener algunos síntomas de dolor en sus pies y sus piernas , al principio pensamos que era alguna lesión normal por algún deporte o algún golpe que se había ocasionado , la llevamos al pediatra y este nos dijo que podía ser algo muscular así que tanto mi hija como nosotros seguimos nuestra rutina normal , pero al pasar los días , nos dimos cuenta que Lucianna estaba perdiendo sensibilidad en su pie izquierdo así mismo en su pierna , sentía un peso enorme así que le estaba impidiendo caminar , luego los dolores de cabeza , para ese entonces mi niña ya llevaba casi dos semanas sin ir a la escuela , de un momento a otro ya notamos que torcía también su otro pie , se hacía imposible ya caminar así que decidimos llevarla al hospital , le hicieron muchos exámenes de sangre , MRI BRAIN y el MRI SPINE LUMBAR, SPINE CERVICAL y SPINE THORACIC , estos exámenes diagnósticaron que Lucianna tiene inflamaciónes en el cerebro y la columna , así que la dejaron hospitalizada desde el día jueves 7 de noviembre , el neurólogo le envió muchos más exámenes , ya que no tienen un diagnóstico 100% seguro , el que más se acerca a los síntomas es la encefalomielitis aguda diseminada, pero realmente nos han dado muchos nombres de enfermedades que emocionalmente nos han vuelto nada .
Desde que Lucianna fue internada en el hospital ha tenido unas noches muy difíciles , de dolor , de frustración, miedo , esto ha sido muy duro para nosotros ya que nunca nos imaginamos estar en esta posición y ver nuestra hija sufrir de esa manera , ahora debemos esperar dos semanas más para que lleguen los resultados más importantes , pero mientras tanto el neurólogo comenzó a darle medicamento para los músculos , ya que en algunos momentos a sufrido de calambres y entumecimiento en sus piernas , también le están dando esteroides en dosis muy altas para reducir la inflamación que tiene en el cerebro y la columna , medicamentos para el estómago , y dosis para reducir el estrés ya que ha tenido episodios de ansiedad .
en este momento debemos esperar algunos días más para ver como ella evoluciona con este primer tratamiento.
debido a esta situación mi esposo y yo no hemos podido ir trabajar 100%, nuestra niña no tiene un seguro médico asi que debemos asumir algunos gastos , cualquier contribución por pequeña que sea , será de gran ayuda para nosotros , lo agradecemos con el corazón .
