On September 16, 2025, Louie Ihry of Lake Park, MN, sustained severe injuries after falling 25 feet while constructing a shed. Following the incident, he was airlifted to Fargo for treatment of internal bleeding, where he underwent a five-hour surgery that successfully addressed the bleeding.
In addition to the internal injuries, Louie suffered fractures to both legs, his right arm, and his pelvis. On September 17, medical professionals repaired his right arm and leg, followed by pelvic surgery on September 19.
A subsequent procedure is planned for his left leg, which is severely shattered and will require reconstruction using a cadaver bone; however, the surgery will occur only after the swelling subsides. Louie will also need additional surgeries on his pelvis.
Upon his discharge from the hospital, Louie will be transferred to a rehabilitation facility to assist in his recovery. His journey to regain his health is expected to be a lengthy one. Louie’s friends and family are requesting continued prayers as he faces the challenges ahead. Additionally, any donations to support him would be greatly appreciated.
