<div>My mom has always been the heart of our family — a loving wife of 36 years, a devoted mom and the world’s best “Mimi” to her grandkids. She is a second grade teacher at Arlington Elementary School. She has been a dedicated elementary teacher throughout the Shelby County, TN area for 30 years. She has loved teaching each and every "teddy bear" who has graced her classrooms over the years.

<div>She’s now facing an aggressive form of bone cancer, dedifferentiated chondrosarcoma, which has reoccurred at the site of her prior hip replacement. Unfortunately, this rare form of cancer does not respond well to conventional cancer treatments. She is currently receiving care at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Dad is by her side as her full-time caregiver, and medical, travel and monthly living expenses are quickly mounting.
