My friend Lisa’s dog, Lola went missing last night with her sister Zoey, and somehow got out of their kennel in the backyard. After about an hour of searching Zoey came home alone. They continued to search and had no luck. She woke up and continued the search and posted on all animal rescue sites on Facebook. A neighbor saw her and said her leg was hurt. A few us of searched and search the neighborhood, finding her finally back in her kennel at home. her little girl was mangled pretty bad yet, Lola managed to make her way home to her family. We got her to the hospital and the medical staff acted quickly and were so empathetic with their care and patience as we navigated through decisions and payment options. Lola is being hospitalized for a few days, wound care for one back leg and unfortunately the other back leg amputated. This is a huge financial hit on Lisa’s family, I know she struggles to ask for help. However, this hit is pretty hard. I understand times are rough for everyone but I’m reaching out to her village … anything would help to keep our girl here and make here healing journey possible.
