<div>On August 23rd, my good friend Danielle Ford got the call that no parent wants.<strong> Her 19-year-old son, Logan, had been in a motorcycle accident and was now in the trauma unit in critical condition. </strong>

<div>Logan was sedated and ventilated and once stable enough for scans, the family learned<strong> he had fractured his c2 vertebrae, broken his spine and damaged his spinal cord in four places, fractured his ribs, clavicle, and pelvis, suffered collapsed lungs, bruised his heart, and endured severe 3rd degree burns</strong> covering much of his body.

<div>He has already undergone multiple major surgeries, including spinal and pelvic repair. He's now been moved to the burn unit and faces weeks of excruciating burn treatments and skin grafts.

<div><strong>The odds have been stacked against him from the start. Yet Logan continues to fight.</strong> He is off the ventilator, able to talk, drink liquids, and, most importantly, he is still fully himself. His memory, wit, and personality are all intact.

<div><strong>Doctors have told his family that it's not likely that he will walk again.</strong> But if anyone can defy the odds, it’s Logan, and <strong>no one's giving up hope</strong>. His recovery will be a long journey, and the length of rehabilitation is unknown.

<div>After Logan finishes his burn treatments, Danielle (his mom) plans to have him transferred to an out-of-state neurological rehabilitation facility that specializes in spinal cord injuries. This type of care will give him the best possible chance at recovery and a meaningful, independent life.

<div><strong>The costs of long-term rehab, adaptive equipment, and accessible living support are overwhelming. </strong>Danielle has been by his side through every surgery, scan, and sleepless night. She should be able to focus fully on helping Logan heal... not on how to pay for it.<strong> That's where we all can help.</strong>
