<div>On September 13, we will present "Living in Light" -- an interfaith concert intended to help bring healing to families who have lost loved ones to suicide. Through music, gathering, and compassionate connection, we seek to offer warmth and renewed hope. Our purpose is to unite the community in a shared journey toward light and faith. We also hope to foster better understanding in those who have not experienced such loss.

<div>The event will include musical performances, dance numbers, and video. As an interfaith event, performers, artists, and speakers will focus on their individual faith and God's role in the process of healing.

<div>Performers include Matt Cropper, Rise Up Children's Choir, Joseph Hale, Vocalocity, community dance teams, Deseret Symphony, and Octappella.

<div>Amplify Benefit Concerts, a registered 501(c)3 , are the generous sponsors for this event.  As a registered non-profit organization, their purpose is to "put more good into the world".   It is through their kindness, we can accept the donations in behalf of this event.

<div>Your donation will help allay the tremendous costs of presenting this concert, including renting the venue, compensating performers, stage crew, and production staff. Any money donated above and beyond the costs of the performance will go directly to other charitable organizations.

<div><strong>About the Committee Members</strong>

<div>Each committee member has learned personally the devastating impact that suicide has on family and loved ones. They are trying to help lift that burden in other peoples' lives.
</div>

<li><strong>Matt Cropper </strong>is first a dad to his four favorite humans, a music producer, and recording studio engineer who recently lost his wife to suicide. As Matt shared, "Just over four years ago, my sweetheart Heather -- after a long, courageous battle with severe depression -- lost her life to suicide. Earlier this year, Cecily Smith asked if I would share my experience and how I have found strength to move forward with our four children. I told her that I would be happy to, but it would be impossible for me to share my experience without acknowledging my Faith in God. My strength has come from His strength and the love of countless angels, both seen and unseen. Whatever your faith, it is my hope that we can find that which is common in our journey of healing through the help of God."

<li><strong>Debra Coe</strong> is a Utah suicide prevention coalition member as well as an interfaith music program director from Lehi, Utah who works tirelessly for many community connection events, lifting and supporting others, and creating places of healing for those who suffer.

<li><strong>Cecily Smith </strong> As a chosen stay at home mother to her most precious gifts- her children, she has wanted all she is as does to reflect her faith in God and devotion to them. As one who has personally suffered from depression and lost ones she loves to suicide, her empathy increased significantly for all who suffer silently. Experiencing both ends of the spectrum created a much deeper compassion. As she has strived to go around her community visiting others, one thing has been very clear: That regardless of religious affiliation, political sway, and personal preferences we as humans have a profound need to connect. This night has been a dream of hers for years as one way to wrap her arms around the community and say, "You are seen, you are heard, and you are loved." With no professional experience, this event has been a daunting task to dream and create. It has only been through Divine help, the many loving friends, community members, and family that this night is a reality.
