Lisa is my sister, and she’s always been independent and hardworking. Recently, she was faced with an unexpected medical issue that requires surgery to remove the Sigmoid portion of her colon. The surgery is scheduled for December 8th, and while Lisa is doing her best to stay strong, this situation has put her in a very difficult position. She will need to take at least four weeks off work to recover, but unfortunately, she only has one week of vacation saved up. That means she’ll be without income for most of her recovery period. Lisa lives alone and depends entirely on her own income to pay her bills. She’s reached out to a few groups for help, but so far hasn’t received any replies. This fundraiser is truly a last resort for her, and it’s not something she ever imagined needing to do. The funds raised here will go directly toward helping Lisa cover her rent, utilities, groceries, and medical expenses while she heals. Every little bit will help ease her stress and allow her to focus on getting better.
