Hi! I’m Lisa Harmon, I’m a caretaker for Right at Home. Normally I work 7 days a week but I’ve been sick lately. Last week, I had Covid and Flu B, I thought I was better by Monday and went to work. All day long I could feel myself deteriorating. I knew something was bad wrong. I came home to take a shower and figured I’d go to the dr the next day. But I never got the chance. I passed out in the bathroom and hit my head on the bath tub in the same spot I busted it and was in the hospital 2 summers ago. I couldn’t even see straight to find my phone. I fumbled around for 30

mi utes and dried and got dressed and called an ambulance. I knew I couldn’t take myself. The ambulance came and immediately did vitals and my EKG was so bad, we went to PC H with lights and sirens blaring. I hate 3 CT scans and an MRI. When I first got there my blood pressure was 85/59. They had already started an IV in the ambulance, thank goodness, meds were given and all of a sudden my BP dropped to 70 over 40. I was having trouble seeing and couldn’t feel parts of my fingers and toes. The staff at the ER said if I hadn’t called, I would have died. I was diagnosed with double pneumonia, severe dehydration, chronic heart failure and sleep apnea. I had a hard time clawing my way back but I perked up a little bit and was told if I had waited much longer, I wouldn’t have lived through that episode. So I was immediately sent to ICU because everything I had was going bad. I was on 10 liters of oxygen, and 4 IV’s trying to deliver enough fluids for this severe dehydration. They ran test after test and none turned out good . Last night I was asked to sign a form that was basically do resuscitate, should my body crash again if I wanted to live. So I signed it.

This morning I get up and the dr said, we can’t do anything else for you so we’re sending you home. I had had episodes of my blood pressure being 133/122 and even higher. Therefore they decided it was because I was in pain, and I most certainly was but that wasn’t the problem. So I was given a heart monitor and sent right out the door.

I was off work all last week because I had Covid and Flu B. I was already off for 1 whole week and I’ll be off this week too. By the time it’s all said and done I can go back to work April 7 if I’m doing ok.

ive got rent, electric, water phone and car insurance due, all by the weekend. You all know I live by myself and normally 7 days a week, but I just can’t right now.

I hate asking again but I can’t handle this on my own. If you can’t, sharing will be nice too along with prayers.

They told me yesterday if I hadn’t called an ambulance and it would have been about an hour later. Thank you all for your love and support!
