Lincoln is a bright, loving nine-year-old who faces daily challenges with remarkable determination. Diagnosed with verbal apraxia, hypotonia, ataxia, and being on the autism spectrum, he works hard every day to overcome obstacles that many of us take for granted. Lincoln is considered nonverbal and communicates using an AAC device and some sign language. Simple tasks like holding a pencil, buttoning his pants, or zipping his jacket are difficult for him due to his low muscle tone and coordination issues. Despite these challenges, Lincoln’s resilience and kindness shine through, and he continues to amaze everyone around him.

For the past five years, we—his parents—have researched and consulted with experts about stem cell therapy. After connecting with other families and learning about their experiences, we found hope in a program at the Stem Cell Institute in Panama City, Panama, which is recognized as a leader in this field. We’ve worked hard to prepare Lincoln for this opportunity, including making lifestyle changes and seeking the best possible care. The treatment offers a real chance to improve his independence, communication, and quality of life. Our hope is that this therapy will help Lincoln gain muscle control, reduce inflammation, and allow him to engage more fully with the world around him.
