<div>Everyone, meet <strong>Lilliana Rose Alcala</strong>. What started off as a wandering eye quickly changed into a very aggressive eye movement, right eye closing and left eye retraction as often as every 30 seconds. After almost a year of no answers from doctors in our local area, we found answers at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, which came back as an abnormal brain MRI. Doctors found a tumor in Lilly’s brain. They are not sure what type of tumor it is yet and not sure if it is cancer or not. Where the tumor is located in the brain is the area that affects coordination, so she also does not walk yet at 2 years old.

<div><strong>November 21, 2024 - After 10 hours of surgery, Drs were able to resect only 70% of the tumor since it was starting to grow into her brain stem and the other little parts were too high to touch without it being a very dangerous outcome.</strong>

<div><strong>December 9, 2024 - got diagnosed with a glioneuronal neoplasm.  A very slow growing cancer, but no less, CANCER. We are now scheduled to start going every 3 months to get sedated MRI's done to monitor the growth of the remaining tumor.</strong>

<div>We had our first Post OP brain MRI AFTER Surgery. Got good news! Cancer didnt spread but the 30% of the tumor that the Drs couldnt resect is still very much there and is our main concern right now. 
</div>
<div>We will be starting chemotherapy at the beginning of March 2025 to try and shrink as much as we can then go from there. We do have to go back every month for 3 months to monitor her chemo then we will start going for our regular 3 month MRI's.
