I'll tell you our story. If you know me and my family, then some of you know this story already, but my mom got charged for defending herself with her own gun, in her own house, from her boyfriend that had just tried to kill her. She was sleeping and woke her up to confront her with cheating accusations. During this time, he became physical and choked her unconscious. There was further fighting after she woke up, and 911 was called, that eventually led to her getting her gun as a last measure and using it. He’s okay he can walk and stuff she shot him in his leg. She's facing 8-10 years. I can't let her miss out on all of us growing up. My sister Leirayla is 13, my little sister Adrianah is 9. My brother Lorenzo is 7, and my baby brother Jateo is 3. If you're a mom, you know every minute counts. You get to watch your kids grow up, fail, and succeed. My siblings still have a long way ahead of them, and I know a lot of people say this, but I mean it when I say this: my mom is literally the best mom I could ask for. She works as a laboratory scientist. We have a nice house, and we are all athletic. Without my mom at my games and my sister's dance lessons, it's really hard. She has a loud and supportive spirit. She's always there for all of us. Please help us get the money together for her lawyer to win her self defense case. No one should ever have to go to jail for defending themselves! What's the point of even being allowed to have a gun and be licensed if you cant even use it!
