<div>On October 11, 2026, Lila Darjee lost her life following an act of domestic violence in Burlington, Vermont. This fundraiser is being organized by a family friend to support Lila’s three children: Arpan Darjee, 20, Subasna Khadka, 10, and Suhana Khadka, 3.

<div> In a matter of moments, their lives were changed forever. What makes this loss even more heartbreaking is that Lila’s two youngest daughters witnessed the violence that took their mother’s life. Arpan is grieving the loss of his mother while also facing the reality of what this means for his younger sisters. Subasna and Suhana have experienced something no child should ever have to endure, and they are now facing a future without the mother who loved and cared for them.

<div> Donations will help support the children’s ongoing needs and unexpected expenses as they begin rebuilding their lives. Funds will go toward daily living necessities, clothing, food, housing-related expenses, emotional support, counseling, and other challenges that may arise in the days and months ahead. Because these needs will continue over time, recurring donations can provide steady support for the children as they adjust to this devastating loss. One-time donations are also deeply appreciated and will make an immediate difference.

<div> No one can take away their pain or bring Lila back, but community support can help make sure these children do not face this difficult journey alone. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to help surround Arpan, Subasna, and Suhana with care, stability, and support.

<div>Message from Arpan:
</div>
<div>“ Jonathan is a pastor and guardian to me and my siblings. Ever since I was 15, when my life was going through a rough patch with family and school, he has been there for me through counseling, emotional support, and financial support. He has truly been like a father figure in my life. Even during this difficult time, he has continued to stand by me and my younger sisters. He is someone I deeply trust and am grateful to have in our lives.” - Arpan
