Lidija is a beloved staff member of the RC4 community. She has been an attachment teacher in the Red Room (6 weeks - 15 months) for many years and has spent countless hours caring for many of our young children.

She was diagnosed with appendix cancer and has spent the last several months undergoing various surgeries, procedures, and meeting with doctors to determine how invasive it is and if there are other issues. She has ultimately been diagnosed with Appendix Mucinous Adenocarcinoma that has spread to the Omentum. This puts her cancer at stage 4, which has been devastating. She will be getting a port on April 3rd and starting 6 months of chemo beginning on April 7th.

RC4 has been amazing in supporting Lidija during this time as she has been out of work for over 4 months. They have provided her with the support to allow her to take care of herself and not have to worry about work/finances. That being said, she will now be out of work a minimum of 6 additional months. We are working to raise money to offset medical bills and daily living expenses, such as food and bills, as she continues to be out of work.
