Leticia has been a devoted friend and caregiver to my elderly mother for 18 years, always going above and beyond to help those around her. Recently, while bringing dinner to my 99 year old mother who is in the hospital after her hip fracture, Leticia was involved in a devastating car accident. Someone slammed into her car as she was driving towards the hospital, destroying it and sending Leticia to the hospital with broken bones. She now faces a long recovery, including surgery to repair her broken leg and knee, and will be unable to work for at least six months. 
 
 
 
 
 Leticia is the sole provider for her granddaughter, who lives with her. She is self employed taking care of others, and, without the ability to work, is facing mounting challenges. The funds raised will help Leticia cover her rent, replace her car, pay for basic living expenses, food, utilities, and out-of-pocket medical expenses, etc. while she recovers. Leticia has always been the first to help others—supporting her church, donating her time to the homeless, and caring for those in need. Now, especially during this Christmas season, she is the one who needs help.
