Hurricane Melissa has impacted my beautiful country of Jamaica in the worst way. My name is Letecia Powell. My family and friends in Good Hope, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, are facing an unimaginable road ahead. Homes that once stood strong are now damaged or destroyed. Roofs ripped from bungalows, walls crumbling, floodwaters literally sweeping through neighborhoods. Medical supplies and essential necessities are scarce, roads are cut off, and the community is reeling. As of right now, they have no power, no internet, and no phone service.
