<div>On the morning of September 25, my friend <strong>Leslie Bogart suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on the left hemisphere of her brain.</strong> This left her with paralysis on the right side of her body. Her ability to communicate verbally was affected as well. Soon after being evaluated by a doctor, she required an NG tube to receive nutrition because her ability to swallow and gag reflex were also affected by the stroke. Recently, her NG tube has been replaced by a stomach tube for chronic nutrition. In addition to all of this, she has experienced severe headaches caused by brain swelling as a result of the bleeding in her brain. Leslie’s husband has remained by her side through her treatment.

<div>Just prior to Leslie’s stroke, their family was experiencing hardships on multiple levels. Leslie has a long and very challenging journey ahead of her. She was a very active and energetic 49-year-old woman who cared for her grandchildren regularly as well as running a full-time dog boarding/daycare on her property. <strong>I am setting this up for Leslie because she deserves to heal and recover without constant worry about loss of income.</strong> Her husband Eddie deserves to be able to support her and advocate for her without the same worries hanging over his head. <strong>I’m asking that if you can help, please do.</strong> I know that if the tables were turned, she would help too.
