<div>I am the Board Chair of Lees-McRae College (LMC) in Banner Elk, NC and raising money to help rebuild the college, cover temporary housing, transportation, food and operational expenses incurred as a result of Hurricane Helene . I live in Charlotte, NC and am working with local institutions to provide temporary housing for the 50+ students who were displaced by the storm. Many of these students are international and need a safe place to stay and continue their studies via Zoom for the next few months. Anything you are able to donate is greatly appreciated. As of 10/6/24 I've been able to help settle over 45 students/coaches in dorms at Queens University (shown in photo above) and hope to place more there in the next week. LMC's President is working 24/7 with local authorities to clean up and start rebuilding the damaged areas on campus, however the recovery efforts for the college and surrounding community are monumental.
