Support Leen's Healing Journey

Hello everyone, I am making this go fund me to try and help offset some unexpected hardship that has fallen on my sister Leen. Leen is 33 weeks pregnant and on the 16th of September she had a bad fall and broke her right foot. The injury is known as a lisfranc injury and is the result of breaking the top center bone on the foot, and also completely tore both main ligaments. Leen is expected to be in a cast for two months and then a boot until eventually physical therapy. Recovery for this type of injury can take up to 6 months and in some cases a year. Surgery was discussed but can’t be performed due to the pregnancy and will be reevaluated depending on how the broken bone is lined up after the cast and can hopefully be avoided.

I’m hoping by making this go fund me we can help get her back on her feet before she gives birth as she currently cannot drive or work and has no income coming in and medical bills piling up. This has been very stressful on her as she is starting a family with her husband Rob and they are expecting their baby in November.
