<div>Leah Renee Huett is a bright and active 4-year-old who loves the outdoors and playing with her cousins. She is the beloved daughter of Hailey and Cody Huett and the little sister to her 6-year-old brother, Corbin. Recently, Leah was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, a rare condition where her cerebellum and cerebrum are not connected, causing spinal fluid to seep into her spinal cavity. This diagnosis has turned her family’s world upside down.

<div>Leah is scheduled for an MRI and a sleep study in early January to determine the full extent of her condition. After these tests, she will undergo a complex 4-10 hour surgery to remove a cyst and create a larger opening in her spine. The procedure will require a 7-10 day hospital stay, followed by two months of physical therapy three times a week. Leah will need to relearn basic skills and regain her strength, all while coping with the restrictions and challenges that come with recovery. This is a lot for any child to face, and it’s especially hard for Leah, who doesn’t fully understand what’s happening.

<div>Leah’s mom has had to take time off work to care for her, and her dad’s income alone isn’t enough to cover the mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and daily needs.
