<div>Hi, my name is Jean, and I’m one of Laura’s best friends. Many of you may already know that Laura is facing a major brain surgery—a craniotomy—to remove a meningioma. This is an overwhelming procedure that requires her skull to be opened so her neurosurgeon can safely remove the tumor.

<div>Laura will be unable to work for 2–6 weeks while she recovers, and the medical bills are already piling up. Each MRI has cost her $250, and she has already begun receiving hospital bills on top of everyday expenses.

<div>If you know Laura, you know she is the type of person who never asks for help. In fact, she just used money from her 401k to build a room for her mother so she can help take care of her because that’s the kind of giving, selfless person she is. But now, it’s Laura who truly needs support.
