Support Latvian children at the Oncology Unit

 

 

C.O.D.E CHARITY PROJECT 2021

 

(LV zemāk) The 14th CODE - Come over, donate and enjoy project celebrates Latvia and its Children by raising donations for the Hematology-Oncology Unit of the Children’s Hospital in Latvia.

 

In order to look after and improve the health of children with serious conditions, the Children's Hospital Foundation must raise funds from the general public. We are thrilled to take part in this life-changing process by bringing together communities through art and music.

 

This year the charity project takes place from 4th - 18th November 2021 and you can join us at the events in London or online - from the comfort of your home!

WHY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL IN LATVIA?

 

According to the Children's Hospital Foundation in Latvia, due to lack of specialised equipment and professional consultation, each year there is a need to raise approximately €30 000 to receive such specialist consultation that only the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) in London can offer. Such tests and results are vital to children with brain cancer recovery, as they offer clear diagnosis and best approaches of treatment. These tests are not sponsored by the national health system.

 

Each year there are on average 20-30 children with brain cancer in need of these tests. In general, they can cost from €500-1000 per one child. Our goal is to raise £5,000 in order to fully support at least five children in need of these tests. Any additional funds will help to support others.

(LV) Bērnu slimnīcas fonds katru gadu palīdz aptuveni 20-30 bērniem saņemt nepieciešamos dārgos izmeklējumus - smadzeņu audzēja DNS metilācijas analīzi, kas ļoti nepieciešama, lai pēc iespējas precīzāk noteiktu gan konkrēto diagnozi, gan piemērotu ārstēšanu. Ik gadu tie ir vidēji 30 000 €, kas nepieciešami, lai nodrošinātu šos izmeklējumus visiem bērniem - vidēji no [phone redacted] € par vienu bērnu. Šī projekta mērķis ir saziedot vismaz 5,000 €, lai nodrošinātu 5 bērnu atlabšanas iespējas.

(ENG) HOW CAN I TAKE PART/DONATE?

 

1. Start your donations NOW through this crowdfunding platform to encourage the ongoing preparations for the charity project: background work in organising, text editing, video and graphics creation, activities for the online auction providing art from the children and teachers of London Latvian school's and Baldone art school's, musical performance and online lesson preparations, and much more. Everyone taking part in this charity project is doing so completely for free, donating their time and effort to meet the fundraiser's goal!

2. Register for and come enjoy the 14th C.O.D.E Opening or Closing events in London, where cash donations will be collected at Children Hospital Foundation's sealed charity box (limited seats!)

3. Participate and bid for drawings by children and artists, and bake-bread recipe book in an online auction from 4th-18th November 2021
