<div>My name is Larissa Le Ann. I am 32 years young. I am a local of eastern North Carolina in Carteret and Onslow county. Breast cancer is rare in young women, and is an overwhelming diagnosis when added to this already busy time of life. I have a single income household while diagnosed with Stage 2 Grade 3, BRCA 1 mutation positive breast cancer. <strong>I was diagnosed on October 14, 2025 with invasive ducal carcinoma (IDC) - triple negative breast cancer (TNBC).</strong> My mass was discovered late August 2025 (both breasts have findings), began treatment in December 2025, and will have medical attention for a couple years. Currently considered a High Risk patient. Donations will support my extensive treatment plan: Immunotherapy/Chemotherapy, several surgeries (bilateral mastectomy, reconstruction, and prevention hysterectomy), and radiation; along with all other additional bills.

<div>TNBC is an aggressive, fast-growing subtype (~15% of cases) that tests negative for estrogen, progesterone, and HER2 receptors. It requires intensive, multimodal treatment due to a more aggressive type of tumor with a faster growth rate, higher risk of metastasis and recurrence risk which makes a dangerous breast cancer.
