Hello, I am Lani. I am 36yrs old and moved to MI 6yrs ago when my spouse was discharged from the Army. His name is David, and he is a disabled vet who served 7years-Fort Riley, Ks and deployed 1 time. He has surgery on both of his feet and has not left or right movement. I had a foot surgery in Nov 2017 that did not go well, and I developed CRPS type 1 in my left leg/foot. Since then, I have undergone 4 foot surgeries to try to help with the CRPS. Had to quit my job in Dec 2023. 3 months ago, I had a spinal cord stimulator put in for my chronic pain to have more of a normal life. I have applied for disability twice now and was denied which I understand for my young age. Within a few weeks of each other both of our cars and us were in accidents. we are both okay but our cars on the other hand are not. Mine was totaled and his need extensive damage repair. We have 2 kids. 14yr old girl in middle school and a 9yr old in elementary. We desperately need to be able to get the kids around. Not only for school but doctors' appointments for all of us.
