<div>This past weekend, our friend and coworker Lana experienced a devastating house fire that caused significant damage, estimated at $50,000.  Fortunately, Lana and her two children were not home at the time, and their two cats were safely rescued and unharmed.

<div><strong>Lana's home is currently uninhabitable, with no power or water until repairs can be made.</strong>  Insurance adjusters have been contacted, and restoration crews and contractors have begun the work they can until a more thorough investigation can take place to understand the full costs and allocate the necessary labor.  The restoration process is slow, as it involves many groups working together.

<div><strong>We are raising funds to help cover the immediate expenses Lana and her family are facing.</strong>  This includes temporary housing, food, clothing, and other necessities while they are displaced.
