We are excited to take a group of students from our urban LAUSD school on a journey to visit historically Black colleges and universities in Texas and New Orleans this February. For many of these students, this will be their first time leaving Los Angeles and their very first time on a plane. It’s a unique opportunity to broaden their horizons, inspire their dreams, and help them envision a future full of possibilities.

While we are grateful that travel and lodging are covered, there are many essential items that will make this trip comfortable and memorable for our students. We are raising funds to provide them with coats, sweatshirts, backpacks, hydro flasks, compression socks, rain ponchos, mini umbrellas, travel games, books, snacks, hand sanitizer, beanies, and portable phone chargers. These items will help our students prepare for the colder weather and ensure they feel safe, supported, and ready for every adventure along the way.

Our school community is full of bright, determined students, but many of our families have limited resources. Your generosity will help remove barriers and allow these students to fully enjoy and benefit from this life-changing experience.
