<div>On the evening of October 21, 2024, Kyle was at his home in Weed, CA when he heard the blood-curdling screams of an elderly woman. Kyle found his elderly female neighbor being brutally stabbed by his roommate. Kyle immediately intervened and threw the man out of the house. In doing so, Kyle was struck in the back. Kyle says, “I thought he punched me in the back,” but he had been stabbed himself. The man reentered the house and Kyle, once again, was able to get the man out of the house and call 911. Kyle’s quick and heroic actions saved the woman’s life.

<div>Kyle and the woman were both taken to Mercy Mt. Shasta. Kyle was found to have been stabbed in the kidney and was ultimately transferred to Mercy Medical Center Redding. He is stable and has been in the hospital since the incident. Our family will be gathering Kyle’s things from his house in Weed and relocating him to Redding to be close to family. Kyle will need help with not only medical bills but also unexpectedly needing to relocate his life.
