Support Kristen Prothero with medical expenses from STROKE.

Our dear Kristen is 48 years old and has suffered two terrible strokes. In December her routine annual exam showed a healthy 48 year old woman. Unfortunately, in January while at work Kristen was having difficulties saying the letter “S” and her voice sounded different than usual. Days went by where she felt much better and showed no concern, Sunday January 19th Kristen noticed some numbness in her leg and arm and decided to go to insta care where her nightmare began. Once in insta care they heard her symptoms and promptly rushed her to the back to check blood pressure which read 257/150 which is absolutely unheard of. They called an ambulance and rushed her to Utah Valley Hospitals stroke unit, they determined Kristen had suffered two terrible strokes. Kristen was hospitalized for 15 days where she worked extremely hard to be able to return home. Kristen is not yet released to go back to work until her brain has completely healed.

Kristen is a single parent and is the only income in her household and is facing a $10,000 medical deductible as well as all other monthly bills, unfortunately her employer does not offer paid FMLA for short term.
