My name is Klarissa Lopez Guillen, and I am a proud undergraduate student at Cornell University.

Earlier this year, my world was shaken when my father was detained by ICE. Watching our family torn apart was one of the most painful experiences of my life. Though he has since been released, the trauma and legal aftermath have left him unable to work, and our family is now facing serious financial hardship.

I turned to Cornell for emergency support, but the university has been unable to provide the additional aid my situation requires. Without intervention, my ability to continue my education at Cornell is genuinely at risk.

I am doing everything I can, applying for jobs, seeking scholarships, and exploring every option available to me. But the reality is that I cannot do this alone. The cost of tuition, housing, and basic living expenses is simply beyond what my family can cover right now.

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to staying in school and honoring everything my family has sacrificed for my future. Your generosity won't just help me; it will help my entire family find stability during one of the hardest chapters of our lives.
