As many of you know, the path of an independent creator is filled with both incredible highs and challenging lows, and I’ve had a lot of both over the past couple of years.

<div>In early 2023, after a few false starts with other business ideas,<strong> I decided to re-launch my career as an author and commit at long last to my One True Love: storytelling! </strong>

<div>I embarked on putting all the pieces in place: <a href="https://scriptorium.kimbooyork.net/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">a new blog</a>, a new <a href="https://reamstories.com/houseofyork" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">home for my current fiction</a>, a whole <a href="https://houseofyork.info" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">new website</a> along with an <a href="https://houseofyorkshop.myshopify.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">online direct-sales shop</a>, revising and re-releasing <a href="https://houseofyork.info/books-etc/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">my back catalog</a>, reviving <a href="https://authoralchemist.podbean.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">my podcast/YouTube channel</a> , reinvigorating my <a href="https://houseofyork.info/hub/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">social media presence</a> , completely renovating <a href="https://www.patienceandfortitude.net" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">my blog about grief and mourning</a> from top to bottom, and writing non-fiction writing craft books for my fellow authors.

I’ve released two craft books, a serialized novel, two new ongoing serials; started a <a href="https://houseofyork.info/1mwc/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">membership community for writers</a> focused on productivity; posted nearly 200 blog posts; and appeared <a href="https://houseofyork.info/podcasts/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">as a guest on multiple podcasts</a> . I’ve revamped my marketing and created some <a href="https://www.fiverr.com/kimbooyork" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Fiverr gigs for coaching other authors</a> (I’ve gotten excellent reviews!)

This isn't just about keeping the lights on; <strong>it's about investing in the dream.</strong> Four+ months is the runway I need to elevate my work from a steady climb to soaring heights, reaching a point where I can sustain my passion without additional assistance.

That’s an astounding 400% increase! It’s proof positive that I’m on the right track…I just need to stay on the right track!
