Hello, all! For those who don't know me yet, my name is Stephanie. I live in Middleton, NH, with my husband, two little girls, and our 11 pets—two dogs, 4 cats, 4 guinea pigs, and 1 little field mouse who I rescued from the cats. In fact, most of our pets are rescue animals, including the one I am asking for help healing today.

Our cat, Killa, has lived with us for about 2 1/2 years now. He belonged to a friend of ours who was no longer able to care for him. So, in true Stephanie fashion, he became a permanent member of our family. He's one of us now; a piece of the puzzle that makes us whole.

If you know me, you'll know how much I love animals. From a spider to an elephant, I'd find a way to save them; to protect them. And that is why I am here, humbly asking for your help to save one of mine.

Killa had been missing for a day or two and he returned home last night barely able to walk. It appears he may have gotten hit by a car and there's significant damage to his front and back leg. He will need surgery to recover.

I've gotta say, I am not one to ask for help. It doesn't come naturally to me because giving is my love language. Sometimes, I think that is my purpose—to give to those less fortunate than I've been throughout my life. But, I also try to teach my children and those around me that it's okay to ask for help when you need it.

I've navigated through countless surgeries with my pets—from a guinea pig to my dogs—I take my commitment to them seriously. I've also been fortunate enough to handle those surgeries on my own... to find a way to make it happen... until now.

Now, I don't want to take from people who don't have anything to give. But, if you have a little extra in your heart or your wallet to donate, share, or even send well wishes, that would mean more to me than I can put into words. And, I promise to pay it forward.
