Hi all. I am crowdfunding on behalf of Akiea “Ki” Gross of Woke Kindergarten. If you know Ki, you know they are a non-binary, trans person who suffers from chronic pain related to their endometriosis. Ki has been dealing with this pain for years and is finally getting surgery, which is the only way to relieve themself of this painful condition. Of course, insurance offers very little coverage for this surgery and as such, Ki needs some support in funding this surgery for the chance to finally be pain-free and get back to work creating &amp; facilitating for the babies &amp; all the supporters of Woke Kindergarten.  Ki is has dedicated their life and career to educating children and has fiercely been advocating for marginalized groups of people. All of their advocacy has left Ki exposed to cyber violence and Ki has bravely endured all of this anyway. Now Ki is being brave and prioritizing their health and they need our help.  Ki’s surgery just got moved up and now they are having this surgery on Friday, August 4. They need $4,000 of the total by August 4th and the rest very soon after. The money is to pay for the surgery as insurance requires this out of pocket expense before coverage kicks in. At this time we are raising for the surgery costs as that’s most pressing but Ki will likely need financial support following the surgery as they will be out of commission and unable to work to support themselves.  I am crowdfunding on their behalf because Ki never wants to ask for this sort of help but please know they need this and will be forever grateful. Please give whatever you can. Anything is greatly appreciated. (100% of what is raised will go directly to Ki)
