<div>Hello, my name is Khookha McQueer, I am a Tunisian drag queen and LGBTQ+ activist. I came to Paris on May 27th, 2025, to seek asylum after escaping persecution in Tunis.

<div>As an asylum seeker, I was supposed to receive basic support from the French authorities (OFII): a small monthly allowance of about €200 and a safe place to stay. But since the beginning of September 2025, OFII has suspended my allowance without any explanation and stopped responding to my requests. At the same time, I have finished all of my personal resources, and I have had no housing from OFII for three months now.

<div>As an asylum seeker in France, I am not allowed to work legally until my case is processed, which leaves me without any way to support myself. Today, I find myself in a very precarious state, with no resources to eat, no stable shelter, and no way to prepare for the winter ahead. I urgently need support for food, clothing, hygiene, transport, and a safe place to stay until my asylum process advances.

<div>En tant que demandeuse d’asile, je devais recevoir un petit soutien de l’OFII : environ 200 € par mois et une place d’hébergement. Mais depuis le début du mois de septembre 2025, l’OFII a suspendu mon allocation sans explication et a cessé de répondre à mes demandes. En même temps, j’ai épuisé toutes mes ressources personnelles, et je n’ai pas eu d’hébergement de l’OFII depuis trois mois.

<div>En tant que demandeuse d’asile en France, je n’ai pas le droit de travailler légalement tant que ma demande n’est pas traitée, ce qui me laisse sans aucun moyen de subvenir à mes besoins. Aujourd’hui, je me retrouve dans une situation très précaire, sans ressources pour me nourrir, sans endroit stable où dormir, et sans moyens pour me préparer à l’hiver. J’ai un besoin urgent de soutien pour l’alimentation, les vêtements, l’hygiène, le transport et un logement temporaire le temps que ma demande d’asile avance.
